ZEEP fuel cell bicycles are a healthy new breed of electric bicycles. Traditional, battery-powered electric bicycles can only be ridden a few hours before needing a recharge that can take hours. Refuelling a fuel cell bicycle takes only seconds.
ZEEP fuel cell bicycles solve the problems faced with battery-powered bicycles by providing higher power and energy storage densities as well as ease of replenishment (i.e. refuelling compared to recharging). Riders now have an option of getting around on their own power or switching to a small motor powered by PEM fuel cell technology.
ZEEP expects its fuel cell bicycles to sell well in noisy, polluted cities, particularly in Asia, where millions use bicycles or motorcycles to get around.

Specification of ZEEP fuel cell bicycle
ZEEP fuel cell bicycles have a range of up to 100 km with a speed of 40 km/h. The PEMFC will use hydrogen supplied from a metal hydride canister located behind the bicycle seat to provide 400 Watts of power to the bicycle drive motor at ambient pressure. This is sufficient to give it an estimated range of 100 km for each canister. |
