Rod Parfitt: R&D Manager

Rod has a long history of involvement in the renewable energy sector. Starting at the Long Ashton Research Station, he was involved with researching farming techniques for Short Rotation Coppice production of willow as an energy crop. Later, he was involved with the breeding of new commercial varieties optimised for energy cropping. Later, as a project leader, he was responsible for implementing an on-farm gasifier and generator. Since then, Rod has been heavily involved in a number of government and private organisations focussed on willows as an energy crop. Rod brings significant expertise and experience in the energy sector to the ZEEP Energy team.
