The Pure EnergyTM Centre was established on the back of the PURE Project which in 2005, delivered a zero emissions, off-grid renewable hydrogen hybrid power supply to an industrial estate on the most northerly island in the UK. The Pure EnergyTM Centre premises incorporate high and low cost stored energy (hydrogen and thermal) as well as providing a fuelling station for the UK’s only road licensed renewable hydrogen fuel cell powered car.
The 3 founding Directors of the Pure EnergyTM Centre, Dr. Daniel Aklil (MIEE, PhD, MEng, BSc, HND), Ross Gazey (MPhil, BEng Hons) and Sandy Macaulay (MSc, BA Hons) combine an impressive set of skills encompassing academic research, technical innovation, practical engineering, community development and a wealth of commercial experience throughout the world. They have all been described by international hydrogen industry experts as being pioneers in groundbreaking hydrogen technology . |
