With its ValtaTM line of fuel cell power products, Protonex is targeting a set of demanding commercial applications that have increasing requirements for high-performance power and are currently underserved by existing technologies. These applications include:

Among these applications, those that currently use external generators or main engines for auxiliary power, such as boats and RVs, stand to benefit from reductions in noise, vibration, emissions, size and weight offered by fuel cell technology. For applications currently using rechargeable batteries, such as specialty electronics and cordless power tools, fuel cell systems will offer extended runtimes, lighter weight and, in many instances, lower operational costs.

Valta™ M250

The Valta™ M250 is designed to provide a nominal 250 watts of backup or auxiliary power for boats, recreational vehicles, and other portable, remote or mobile applications. This complete powering solution combines hydrogen fuel cell technology with a methanol reformer for convenient fueling. System subassemblies are available in a variety of configurations to meet individual customer needs.
