About Our Facility

The Pure EnergyTM Centre is the only renewable hydrogen research & development facility in the UK providing on-site access to an operational renewable hydrogen system. Our skilled engineering team are qualified to provide the highest standards of academic research supervision. The Pure EnergyTM Centre is already being used on a pay-as-you-go research facility by a number of academic institutions, public agencies and commercial companies – current clients include wind turbine manufacturers undertaking high wind speed trials and seeking IEC certification for devices.The Pure EnergyTM Centre research facilities enable us to carry out a wide variety of controlled and supervised experiments.

Our facilities at the Baltasound Campus, are used for practical demonstrations, training, and student research projects in renewable hydrogen production, hydrogen consumption and storage.
