Job Description
In this role you will assist in the development of assembly and commissioning procedures. You will also help in the design and construction of assembly and commissioning test jigs and carry out tests related to cost reduction projects.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- assist to design and build and commission electronic boards/modules
- assist to design and build electrical development and test fixtures
- source components for test fixtures and other projects
- perform tests to support cost reduction projects
- assist to develop commissioning procedures and assembly procedures
- interface with various engineering groups and subcontractors
You will have the opportunity to build your skills and acquire hands on experience with:
- project planning and documentation
- electrical design and build: wire harnesses and general electrical assembly techniques
- functional tests for electronics boards and modules
- mechanical design and build: sensing techniques, gas flow control techniques, general mechanical assembly techniques
- manufacturing engineering process of material management, assembly, test and commissioning.
Required Skills
- general electrical knowledge,
- electrical / electronics aptitude; analog and / or digital design
- Protel, Altium design / simulation package and Labview experience
- familiar with electrical laboratory equipment: oscilloscope, frequency generator, data logger
- familiarity with Windows software
- strong written and verbal communications skills
- excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- strong problem solving abilities
- willingness to work both independently and within a team
