MIRABO Fuel Cell System |
|
The unique feature of MIRABO PEM fuel cell system derives from its operating software. The state-of-the-art motor control program which is our proprietary and core technology automatically and continuously controls the flow of oxygen and cooling air under low pressure to maximize the power generation. This aspect of system provides the following advantage to MIRABO over other fuel cell systems:
- Higher reliability
- Higher performance
- Less maintenance
- Easier operation
- Lower capital and operating cost
A few of specific features of MIRABO are:
- Low Hydrogen Pressure (0.03-0.04Mpa)
This feature makes the life of the system much longer due to lower stress on the system in particular at the time of start-up and shut-down. The power used for auxiliary motors for oxygen and cooling air fans is only 2% of the total power generated by the system.
- Operation can be controlled and monitored by PC.
The PC monitors temperature and moisture, and controls the flows of oxygen and cooling air to maximize the power generation. An additional sensor on the unit also makes it possible to monitor the deterioration of membrane during operation. Only the cell modules which are deteriorated can be replaced.
- The efficiency of the power generation is 46%
Measured by LHV (Low Heat Value) method.
- The temperature of reaction is controlled around 50 deg C.
The temperature of emitted gas is kept low and hot water is not produced. As the result the system is very safe to human beings.
- The inverter has only 2% of power loss
It reacts to sudden load surges without power depression.
