“Near silent, vibration less, odour free, environmentally friendly power generation for the recreational vehicle and yacht battery charging market. Portable, propane fuelled fuel cells which can be used instead of generators to charge batteries or provide instant power for your electrical needs.”
Background
The most widespread solution for providing electrical power on recreational vehicles and yachts is some form of generator solution either charging batteries or providing direct power. This is quite often not the quietest or most environmentally friendly solution, and there are often noise and pollution restrictions at camping and mooring sites.
Using a fuel cell as either a battery charger or direct source of electricity reduces the load on the engine, reduces NOx/SOx/CO2 emissions and provides a near silent means of charging the battery.
Opportunity
NanoDynamics Energy develops solid oxide fuel cells for use as battery chargers or direct power sources and is interested to talk with recreational vehicle manufacturers to integrate its fuel cell technology into future vehicles.
