MTI Micro has made significant progress towards its goal of developing Mobion® technology for commercialization and has received key government awards to support this goal. MTI Micro has and will continue to develop government relationships and partnerships and benefit from this funding. Currently, MTI Micro has the following active contracts:
NY State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) – Funding: $1.25 million
- Four phase contract awarded in 2001 – $1.25 million grant to support technology development and commercialization efforts for DMFC systems
- Program currently in Phase IV
U.S. ARMY Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) – Funding: $470K
- Subcontract with Saft America Inc. to develop a hybrid advanced solider power (HASP) system
Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) – Funding: $98K
- Delivery of two 30 Watt platform fuel cells – Mobion®-30M’s, fuel refills, initial training and technical support
- Program for the development of satellite communication terminals (SATCOM)
