Michigan, USA and Manama, Bahrain -- January 14th, 2007. Energative is pleased to announce its new event, CleanBusiness2007, which will be held 29 - 31 May, 2007, at Moevenpick Hotel, Kingdom of Bahrain.
CleanBusiness2007 is a dedicated Business-to-Business (B2B) event that serves as a business exchange forum between groups interested in clean business worldwide and those in the Middle East. Regional (Middle East) CleanBusiness2007’s audience will be venture capitalists, investing banks, and individual investors that are interested in clean technology; and businesspeople and entrepreneurs that are looking for joint venture, partners, dealerships, representations, and distributorship in the emerging and lucrative clean businesses.
Companies involved in clean technologies and businesses, and are looking for investors and/or interested to expand their services and products to the Middle East, are invited to present at CleanBusiness2007. Presentations are open to worldwide companies that are strictly involved in clean business field and technology such as renewable energy, alternative fuels, waste management and water treatment, Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), carbon trading, energy management, emission control, green buildings, and similar disciplines. For more information, please read Call for Companies.
New and renewable energy market size alone has already exceeded 25 billion dollars a year with a market forecast to multiply several folds in the next two decades. A newly released report from the McIlvaine Company states that a market of $27 billion in 2005 is forecast to reach $46 billion by 2008. This does not include other types of clean business such as water treatment and emission control. In the last several years, major global energy companies spent billions of dollars annually in renewable and new energy R&D, while many of the largest international investment groups are investing in clean technology companies in an unprecedented way.
This strong momentum is motivated by, among other reasons, global warming concerns, Kyoto protocol, new national and international strict laws to reduce and control emissions, and the increase of people’s awareness in health and environment issues.
The Middle East is witnessing a huge economical booming that resulted from the recent high oil prices. The region is also getting more and more aware of the benefits that clean technologies could bring to the region environmentally as well as economically. Few major programs and initiatives have already been announced by regional governments, and several projects are already underway. This unique forum is a great opportunity to link the international clean energy and technology community with the regional one in a structured business exchange format.
