Combined Heat and Power for a Museum

Texas National Guard Museum Camp Mabry, TX.

Camp Mabry Army National Guard Base in Austin, TX houses the Texas Military Forces Academy, which is the second state building constructed, opened on June 15, 1884.

The educational facility conducts and houses multiple specialized schools. The post also boasts numerous supply and warehouse facilities.

Logan Energy, in cooperation with Austin Energy, operates a Plug Power GenSys 5kW Combined Heat and Power fuel cell power plant at the Texas National Guard Museum Camp Mabry, TX. 

The unit is electrically configured to provide grid parallel service to the site and provides waste heat to a small desiccant HVAC unit to provide 50% humidity in the moisture-sensitive displays in the museum.
