Dave Illingworth Field Services Manager Europe
Dave Illingworth has been involved with fuel cell applications and development in the UK for the past 5 years and was responsible for the installation of the first PEM standby power system located on a remote telecommunications site in the Highlands of Scotland.
He has been instrumental in the design and installation of a number of development projects utilising PEM technology, which include temporary mobile power supplies to carry out road side emissions testing of motor vehicles and the provision of a fixed 5 kW PEM installation providing electrical power to the stage and bar lighting at a small London Theatre.
Dave has also been working with organisations including LHP (London Hydrogen Partnership, BOC and UEL (University of East London) to actively promote alternative and sustainable energy solutions within the UK.
He contributed as part of a working group, to the formulation of standards relating to the installation of fuel cell systems, working with organisations such as the HSE (Health and Safety Executive).
Historically Dave's background has been within the electrical contracting and consultancy sectors, working as an electrical consultant for end user organisations including Tesco and as Senior Design Engineer with Asda (Wal-Mart) within the retail sectors and Astor Chemicals within the industrial chemical sectors.
He also has experience in the design and construction of mobile telecommunications base station sites, working as a design consultant for various end user operators including Orange, T-Mobile, Airwave and 3. |
