iGen™ Battery Charger System

For automated battery charging in signaling, surveillance, sensing and transmitting, and telecommunications applications, the IdaTech 250 watt iGen™ fuel cell power supply provides DC power for backup power requirements. With remote monitoring capabilities, the iGen™ system is ideal for stand-alone operation or integrations with PV and wind hybrid configurations.

IdaTech's 250 watt iGen™ system can efficiently and reliably charge batteries for industrial and military applications. The system is designed for minimal maintenance and operates independently of sun or wind energy. The iGen™ system is a transportable solution designed to provide up to 250 watts of quiet, extremely clean power over an extended period of time. The iGen™ system can also be used in remote applications with months of unattended operation.

How it Works:

  • Leverages IdaTech's patented and proven PEM fuel cell, fuel processor and integration expertise
  • Uses a mixture of water and methanol (a highly concentrated mixture similar to automotive windshield washing fluid) to produce 250W of clean, quiet DC power
  • Power is continuously generated as long as fuel is supplied
  • Enables extended power generation, for battery charging, battery extension, communications and emergency power, and remote power stations
