ElectraGen™ XTR Module

The ElectraGen™ XTR Module is a liquid-fueled extended run module that can produce high purity hydrogen on demand for IdaTech’s family of ElectraGen™ backup power fuel cell systems. The ElectraGen™ XTR Module is available* for purchase with the ElectraGen™3 or ElectraGen™5 system, or as an upgrade after system installation to provide extended run capabilities.

The ElectraGen™ XTR Module is able to provide on-demand high purity hydrogen to the ElectraGen™ fuel cell systems by leveraging IdaTech’s industry-leading experience in compact fuel reforming and hydrogen purification, as well as IdaTech’s proven experience with system integration and controls.

Potential Applications:

Some backup power applications require run times of days instead of hours. Solutions like traditional batteries or fuel cell system using bottled hydrogen are only practical for a limited number of hours. The ElectraGen™ XTR Module allows the reliable delivery of high-grade hydrogen to the ElectraGen™3 and ElectraGen™5 fuel cell systems, enabling days of operation from a very compact liquid fuel source. The ElectraGen™ XTR Module also provides an economical solution to help avoid the traditional challenges associated with hydrogen delivery and storage by producing hydrogen on-site and as needed. It is perfect for remote locations such as telecommunications towers where frequent hydrogen delivery is not possible.
