Successful Collaboration with Telecom Italia / RENCO s.p.a. and Launch of IdaTech’s ElectraGenTM XTi system at Intelec, Rome 2007
IdaTech plc ("IdaTech" or the "Company"), an advanced fuel cell solutions company headquartered in Bend, Oregon, USA, is pleased to announce that earlier this week, Telecom Italia and RENCO s.p.a, a partner of IdaTech, presented the results of their successful collaboration with IdaTech in relation to its ElectraGen™ system at the International Telecommunications Energy Conference 2007 ("Intelec"), a worldwide telecommunications power market tradeshow held in Rome this week.
Telecom Italia and RENCO announced that the system, installed at a Telecom Italia site in Sicily, had successfully passed all of Telecom Italia and RENCO's requirements for both compressed hydrogen gas and liquid fuel operations. With more than 20,000 sites throughout Europe, Telecom Italia is the leading provider of wireless and wireline services in Italy.
IdaTech is also pleased to announce that it launched and exhibited its new fuel cell solution, the ElectraGenTMXTi system at Intelec.
During Intelec, IdaTech's Chief Executive Officer, Hal Koyama gave a presentation covering the Company's commercial backup power products, hydrogen reforming and the recently launched ElectraGen™XTi extended run system. The ElectraGen™XTi system is the fourth backup product in the Company's ElectraGen™ family. The ElectraGenTMXTi provides a fully integrated solution operating on a liquid fuel for extended run power. It combines IdaTech's fuel reformer and fuel cell system in a single package and offers a compact, low-maintenance, reliable solution with a reduced footprint. The ElectraGenTMXTi system is available in 3 and 5 KW outputs with 24 or 48 VDC of power and uses HydroPlus, a liquid fuel suitable for outdoor extreme climates.
