HABCO supplies Custom Test Systems for BOP component R&D as well as production test. Pictured below is a modular 3 station Test Stand which covers virtually all of the fluid handling BOP components in a typical fuel cell power plant including liquid pumps, liquid and gas flow measurement equipment and gas blowers/compressors.
Each station included a independent computer monitoring system with full Data Acquisition and performance logging. The system shown included the following 3 modules.
Module 1 - Liquid Passive Components Test:
- Designed for testing passive fluid handling components including flow meters, fluid control valves, filters and other similar items.
- Supplied a pressurized source of DI water or other liquid coolants at flow rates to 50 GPM at pressures up to 100 PSIG
- Flow measurement to 0.25% accuracy.
- Pressure measurement to 0.15% accuracy.
- Delta-P pressure drop measurement to 0.25% accuracy.
Module 2 - Liquid Active Components:
- Designed for testing of active liquid components such as cooling pumps.
- Supplied source of DI water or other liquid coolant with suction pressure control and monitoring at flow rates to 50 GPM.
- Back-pressure adjustment with closed loop control to either flow or pressure.
- Flow measurement to 0.25% accuracy.
- Delta-P pressure drop measurement to 0.25% accuracy
- Power source of single and 3 phase power 50 / 60 Hz 110 - 480 Volts at 6Kw total.
- Per phase voltage and current monitoring.
Module 3 - Gas Components:
- Designed for testing and calibration of gas flow components such as mass flow meters / controllers, pressure blowers and pressure / flow control valves.
- Supplied source of blower air at 300 CFM with pressures up to 20 IWC.
- Precision back-pressure control valves.
- Mass flow calibration source using compressed shop air at flow rated to 200 SCFM. Critical flow ventures used as a flow master for mass flow accuracies of <0.25% of reading.
- Pressure measurement with accuracy of 0.025%.
- Power source of single and 3 phase power 50 / 60 Hz 110 - 480 Volts at 6Kw total.
- Per phase voltage and current monitoring.
