Habco attends the annual “Fuel Cell Seminar” in Miami, Florida |
Habco attended and exhibited at the annual “Fuel Cell Seminar” event, hosted by the US Fuel Cell Council in Miami, Florida, last November. The event, which coincided with the annual Fall meeting, allowed an opportunity for members to meet face-to-face and discuss their vision for the future, as well as participate in a large exhibition showing of their products and services. Habco established many leads and networked with many government and OEM officials on the potential need for Habco’s test station products. Habco will attend and has signed up to exhibit at this year’s conference, November 1-4, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Center, in San Antonio, TX.
David Plis, Vice President of Technical Sales, was named to a newly formed “calibration” subgroup within the Materials and Components Working Group of the USFCC. This group will focus on calibration and repeatability issues in fuel cell performance measurement, an area Dave has much expertise in.
Kristin Muschett, CEO of Habco, Inc., was named to chair a newly formed subgroup of the Marketing and Education Working Group of the USFCC. This subgroup will focus on the issues of academia as it relates to fuel cell development, and will specifically try to unite Universities, businesses, and government in a more focused way to promote opportunities between these groups. Connecticut, among other US states, has a successful model for these groups working together, and it is the intent of this group to spread this formula to other states interested in these opportunities. “I’m excited about the challenge of working on this project,” says Kristin. “With new potential funding headed this year towards Universities and community colleges for establishing fuel cell curriculum and research programs, the need has never been greater for this collaboration.”
Habco has been solicited by Rolls Royce Group, in Derby, England for an RFP for supplying SOFC fuel cell test stands for a development project. |
