Technology Wave of the Future

The World Advanced Vehicle Expedition (WAVE) will take place over two weeks in September this year 2011. Advanced pure electric vehicles will be driven from Paris to Prague, giving demonstrations at thirty cities en route. Louis Palmer, the founding Director of WAVE, has given Gordon Foat of Green MotorSport the opportunity to drive for the UK this year, and Green MotorSport is seeking more sponsors for this exciting event.

The Green MotorSport team intends to drive the full distance in an electric car powered completely from renewable sources. The journey across Europe will spread the powerful message to over 30 cities. Green MotorSport is asking Green players to come forward and get involved in one of the most exclusive and exciting green transport events to hit Europe! Please ask Green MotorSport for a Sponsor pack. This is an opportunity that can't be missed if you are involved in Green energy or any related sustainable business. There are places for a limited number of sponsors.

The 2011 WAVE is also an exchange platform for interacting with government representatives, business leaders, schools and other pioneers and there will be global media coverage.

The Innotruck is the world's largest electric truck and it will serve as a charging station for participating electric vehicles during the WAVE. The Innotruck will also serve as an exhibition and press centre, as well as the event platform and the mobile WAVE headquarters. All participating vehicles will be powered by 100% renewable energies. Each team must feed electricity from a renewable source such as wind or solar into the grid in their home country and en route, the vehicles will be able to withdraw the equivalent amount of energy from any power socket. Whilst Green MotorSport has already secured a vehicle to drive in the Wave we are still seeking a renewable energy company to provide the energy.

The Wave Plan

The expedition starts on September 11th 2011 from Paris through Roye, Valenciennes, Brussels, Helmond, Dusseldorf, Troisdorf, Koblenz, Mainz, Michelstadt, Ptorzheim, Rottweil, Winterthur, Sarnen, Grimselpass, Chur, Bregenz, Kempten, Augsburg, Haag, Salzburg, Linz, St Pollen, Vienna, Brno, Jihlava, finally arriving at the finish line in Prague fifteen days later.

If your company would like to be represented in this opportunity, please contact us for a promotional information pack.

International News

The International Energy Agency (IEA) sees a great future for electric vehicles, with annual world sales of 7 million by 2020 and up to 30 million a year by 2030. They expect battery costs to halve by 2015, just four years away. Most of the world's governments are involved in their Electric Vehicle Initiative, including China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Japan, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the USA. Mr Nobuo Tanaka, Executive Director of the IEA, said that rapid development of advanced vehicles around the world is one key element in enabling the global economy to achieve the target of halving C02 emissions by 2050. The combination of advanced vehicles powered by clean electricity is the ideal solution.

Recently Joplin was almost completely destroyed in one night over 1/3 of the town has been flattened buy one super tornado. This sort of event will happen again. This was one the deadliest tornadoes in US history. The science is clear we need to reduce carbon emissions.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson recently added a further 150 new charge points to the existing 250 across London making electric cars feel even more at home in London. Green MotorSport welcomes these efforts to build up the infrastructure in London.

The next Generation

Alongside the development of advanced drive trains for electric vehicles, Green MotorSport is keen to help the younger generation to drive the vehicles of the future.

Green MotorSport has partnered up with OSET Bikes. They have been manufacturing children's electric dirt bikes since 2006. The inspiration for the bikes came from Oliver Smith, son of founder Ian Smith. Oliver, who is now 10, has been taking home Championships since the age of 3! He is currently number two in the UK National Motorcycle Trials in his age group against 80cc petrol bikes. OSET are working with Green MotorSport on projects that will hopefully take OSET to the next level. Green MotorSport would like to announce that Oliver Smith has joined us in the race to promote environmental technologies.

Green MotorSport recently used the platform at Ambition Radio to shout out to the younger generations its environmental credentials. The radio station is listened to by many up and coming music stars and Mike T, Ambition Radio's DJ, promoted Green MotorSport and its importance to everyone. If you want to tune into Mike T, catch him live every Tuesday between 8 pm and 11 pm and relax and have fun with others in the interactive chat room. Green MotorSport will be carrying their brand name on our Wisper racing car which will be on display at the Royal Bath and West Show in June.

The Royal Bath & West Show

This takes place at Shepton Mallet in Somerset over the spring half term. There is a great deal happening at the country's biggest rural festival! Green MotorSport will be displaying a number of interesting electric vehicles. Last year our electric Wisper won first prize for the sustainable transport competition.
