Fuel Cell Industry Evolving for the Global Future: Energy, Environmental and Economic Benefits

Washington, D.C. (August 17, 2009) The FCS&E 2009, Fuel Cells: The New Generation of Green Power, returns to the Palm Springs Convention Center, November 16-19, 2009. Home to some of the Seminar & Exposition’s most successful conferences, Palm Springs and the surrounding area represent one of the most dynamic and commercially strong regions with deep history and use of fuel cells and other renewable energy sources

After more than 30 years, the Fuel Cell Seminar & Exposition still continues to offer the widest variety of technical papers, while continuing to grow the internationally represented Exposition. The 2008 FCS&E set the stage to re-establish fuel cells as a legitimate and commercially available alternative energy source. The 2009 FCS&E will expand on the last year’s mission to advance the global energy, environmental, and economic benefits offered by fuel cell technology.

Conference Highlights

This year’s technical program will feature five parallel tracks that cover all aspects of fuel cell R&D, applications, and commercialization, including high and low temperature fuel cells, fuel cell applications in stationary and portable power, as well as sessions based solely on fuel cell marketing and commercialization. Sessions including, In the Market Now and Strategic Policy & Planning demonstrates how fuel cells are being used today and strategies to make your product more commercially available. We will also continue to feature more R&D based tracks featuring the latest research and breakthroughs from the foremost scientists in today’s industry.

In addition to a strong technical schedule, we’re happy to announce the Opening Plenary Session will feature presentations by Congressman James E. Clyburn, Ken Grossman, Sierra Nevada, Takashi Moriya, Honda Motor Co., Lawrence D. Burns, GM and Hans Maru (Retired), formally of Fuel Cell Energy. Hear about how our speakers are currently applying fuel cell technology in their factories and businesses, while getting an update on the latest alternative energy policies.
