Lead Product Development Engineer

A UK based materials company is seeking an experienced product development engineer to lead the development of the next generations of their unique conductive polymer bipolar plates.

The technology has a number of advantages over existing plate designs, and the company is driving towards achieving market leadership. You will play a key role in this journey, quickly grasping the technical and commercial requirements of the product and working closely with the CTO and materials scientists to optimise and improve the design and fit for customer applications. You will be expected to lead your own work program, and as the role develops, the work of technicians hired to assist you.

Coming from a background in science or engineering, ideally you will have proven experience taking a product from R&D to customer ready. Knowledge of fuel cells / electrochemical systems will be an advantage, especially if you have prior experience of bipolar plates or PEM stack design.
