 Anode supported cells (ASCs) with the Ni-YSZ/YSZ/LSM structure are the most common starting point for intermediate temperature (below 800°C) SOFC research and development. Using an ASC you receive an optimal balance of membrane and ionic function by using a ~10 micrometer thick electrolyte. The ASCs fuelcellmaterials.com offers have also been sized (20mm & 27mm) to work very well with the ProboStat high temperature test fixture.
