Welcome to another exciting issue of The Marketplace Matters. In our biggest newsletter yet you will find a plethora of opportunities focussed on the development of fuel cell, hydrogen, and sustainable energy industries. In partnership with our ever expanding client base we are looking for strategic partners, systems integrators, demonstration locations, balance of plant components, recruitment, financial opportunities and much more - all in this issue. Please take time to read all the contributions and interact with any and all that are appropriate.
It has been a busy two months for Fuel Cell Markets and lots of progress has been made on many fronts. In late May we put on the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Conference ‘Powering the Future' in partnership with the University of Birmingham and Climate Change Solutions. The event highlighted a world class line-up of speakers and demonstrated clear progress from companies and organisations seeking to exploit opportunities for hydrogen and fuel cells. We look forward to our next high-level event - the First Conference & Exhibition in the Middle East Dedicated to "Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Economy", in partnership with the Middle East Forum on Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Economy at the Hilton Dubai Jumeriah on 5th -6th December 05.
In June FCM attended CommunicAsia, the largest telecoms fair in Asia. Although outside the traditional H2 & FC arena we demonstrated fuel cell technology as a zero emission power technology for tomorrow's markets. Great interest was received and it is very clear that the back-up power sector and especially the telecoms markets will be one of the first early market adopters of fuel cells. Watch this space for exciting new developments.
On the subject of early adopters, Fuel Cell Markets enjoyed a very interesting interview with the Extended Battery Life Working Group, who recently released a set of guidelines for fuel cells designed to power notebook PCs. You can read the transcript here.
Internally the FCM Team has expanded and we welcome Dr. Sean McLoughlin and Dustin Broadbery to our team. Sean will head up European Business Development and Dustin will look after new client acquisition. We look forward to continuing to serve the industry and hope to capitalise on the quieter summer months to ensure 2005 sees significant progress in Fuel Cell and Hydrogen commercialisation.
