This was the first time Fuel Cell Markets have exhibited at All-Energy, and it will certainly not be the last!
This year All-Energy included the H207 Hydrogen and Fuel Cells 2007 Conference, 'The US and Europe Getting Down to Business - Implementation of the Hydrogen Economy', spearheaded by Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association, the Mountain States Hydrogen Business Council, the United Kingdom Hydrogen Association, and a large H207 hydrogen/fuel cells pavilion. Fuel Cell Markets exhibited as part of the H207 Pavilion with other partners including the Pure Energy Centre, H2 Logic and siGEN. The conference was held on both days, and attracted presenters from the UK, mainland Europe, and the US. A number of FCM partners gave presentations in the conference, who included:
The focus was on the here and now, what’s ready now, the business case and what needs to be done now to accelerate the commercialisation of this industry. With the growing concern over energy security throughout the world the conference identified where the business opportunities are, the commercial cases that exist today and political environment needed to maximise future opportunities.
Fuel Cell Markets’ stand received a continuous flow of interesting visitors. Many energy managers from a number of the world’s largest corporations were in attendance, actively looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprints, from retailers to property developers to the chemical industry.
It is quite often the case that at these events the industry spends it’s time talking to itself; this was not the case at All-Energy 07. The industry was talking to the customers and partners it needs to move forward. We were pleased to see the profile of fuel cell and hydrogen industries raised at this event by H207 (SHFCA, MSHBC and UKHA did a fantastic job) and look forward to attending H208 next year.
