INBIS Group was formed in 1997 by a Management Buy-Out team with backing from 3i plc, Barclays Private Equity Ltd which purchased the non-automotive interests of the Ricardo Group plc.

INBIS Group comprises the former Ricardo Hitec, Ricardo Aerospace and Ricardo Fluid Gravity which, together with their subsidiaries employs over 800 staff in offices across the UK and Europe with worldwide representation. INBIS Group has developed into a comprehensive engineering design and management consultancy which is one of the largest providers of independent design and engineering support services in Europe.

Our principal skills lie in the Aerostructures, Gas Turbines, Nuclear and Manufacturing Automation sectors which are offered individually or integrated to provide defined solutions. These are supported by expertise in NC Programming, Jig and Tool Design and Production Planning, with enterprise-wide operational software products and services available from the IT Consultancy division.

A Recruitment and technical manpower support division provides on-site and permanent technical staff placements, adding the flexibility necessary to enable our customers to respond to fluctuating demand patterns.

Training and Technology investment strategies are geared to maintain competitiveness through continuous improvement and to ensure operational compatibility with client working practices.

In addition, selective investment is focused on creating niche capability through software and hardware products to establish IPR (Intellectual Property Rights).
