Intelligent Energy is a clean power systems company, developing fuel cell and hydrogen generation products for its business partners. Formed in 2001 but with over 20 year’s experience in the clean energy field and a track record of innovation and delivery; our target markets include motive, aerospace and defence, oil and gas and distributed generation and portable power.

Our successes include; ENV,the World’s first hydrogen fuel cell motorbike; providing the fuel cell system to Boeing for the World’s first manned fuel cell powered aircraft; the H2Origin, a hybrid fuel cell delivery vehicle developed with PSA Peugeot Citroën, and the power system inside our partner Suzuki's Crosscage fuel cell motorbike. We’re also working to develop portable fuel cells for consumer electronics and, with joint venture partner Scottish and Southern Energy plc, to produce fuel cell CHP systems at the residential and light commercial scale.

Our fuel cell stacks and systems in the 10W to 100kW power range, are versatile, robust, efficient, compact, power-dense and designed from the outset for volume manufacturing.
