Fuel Cell Markets

Fuel cell buses are typically fuelled on Hydrogen, and emit pure water. More than 30 fuel cell buses are currently in operation around the world, and likely to be the first commercialised form of fuel cell transport. Buses have the additional storage space required to store enough Hydrogen for a typical bus route. This gives them the advantage over fuel cell cars which currently lack the storage space required to store enough compressed hydrogen to compete with gasoline fuelled vehicles. Furthermore as buses only refuel at depots, fewer hydrogen refuelling stations are required than are otherwise required for consumers.

Hybrid Fuel Cell Buses are in demonstration today. They are quiet, efficient, and represent a very exciting mass public transport vehicle option for the future.
