Consultancy assignments undertaken for individual clients represents almost 50% of the company's workload. These projects are tailored to the specific requirements of clients and are focused mainly on emerging energy technologies. Recent examples include work on:

• Three different types of fuel cell technology
• Gas turbines from 10s of kW to 10s of MW
• Reciprocating engine gensets
• Residential scale cogeneration based on Stirling engines, fuel cells and ICE technologies
• Renewable energy systems
• Hybrid electric and fuel cell vehicles

An important part of this work is undertaken on behalf of other consultancies and research agencies, rather than directly for clients.

This work provides a trusted input into business planning, acquisitions and due diligence. Assignments range from studies of a few man-days, to consultancy services provided over a period of years. In either case, some projects have global scope; others are concerned with individual countries or very specific regions.
