Projects relating to fuel cells and other emerging energy conversion technologies have featured strongly from the outset. One of EscoVale’s first assignments in the 1970s, undertaken for an oil industry client, was concerned with the prospects for DMFCs. This was the first of several projects completed in the 1970s and 1980s.
The pace has accelerated in the 1990s, when EscoVale has been commissioned to advise government agencies, energy companies, industrial clients and management consultants on fuel cell topics. These investigations have covered both technical and commercial aspects of all the main fuel cell types in a wide range of applications.
In addition to these client-specific assignments, EscoVale is involved in substantial fuel cell projects with global coverage, designed for a wider audience. The company is responsible for the preparation and future development of the Fuel Cell Sourcebook to organisations involved in the sector and a Management Report entitled Fuel Cells: Applications and Opportunities.
In each case, the projects are believed to be the largest of their type, worldwide. The aggregate project value of EscoVale’s FC work now exceeds $1M, with the Management Report accounting for about half this total. Already, clients from 30 countries in six continents have ordered more than 200 fuel cell Management Reports, underlining the global interest in this subject and EscoVale’s leading position as an advisor in this area. |
