Renewable Hydrogen Fuel Cell Backup / Standby Power Projects in Developing Countries

Traditional forms of backup / standby power are not particularly well suited to many developing countries. Battery performance and durability are often seriously affected by the local climate and the rising cost of diesel coupled with frequency of maintenance, particularly in remote locations, make generators less practical. In many countries diesel and batteries are even stolen by the local population. Fuel cell backup power systems can be integrated with renewable energy technology to provide reliable, grid independent and non fossil fuel dependant backup power in applications such as telecoms base stations. Dantherm Power is interested to develop backup / standby power projects in developing countries using local partners and hydrogen from renewable sources.

We are interested to talk with local existing back / standby power companies such as:

  • Telecom service providers
  • Telecom OEM manufacturers
  • Wireless telecoms equipment providers
  • Installation, servicing and maintenance

We are always interested in developing our supply network with local organisations with complimentary technologies including:

  • Renewable energy manufacturers
    • Solar
    • Wind
  • Hydrogen infrastructure
    • Electrolyser suppliers
    • Hydrogen Storage
    • Customized hydrogen production solutions

Applications

  • Fixed and wireless networks
  • Base stations
  • Remote antenna sites
