Low Carbon Energy NetworkThe Low Carbon Energy Network is a continuation of the successful North East Fuel Cell Cluster and is now dedicated to enhancing the chemical process elements of the Low Carbon Energy sector in North East England. The network maintains a special interest in fuel cells and hydrogen.
The aim of the network is to create an effective supply chain of organisations that have either direct or indirect links to Low Carbon Energy. In many cases, organisations do not realise the huge potential of becoming part of the growing sector and the network aims to spread the word and continually attract new members.
The objectives of the network are:
- Improve cooperation between industry, academia and the public sector
- Educate and create awareness on the subject of Low Carbon Energy
- Assist in the development of government policy and strategy
- Stimulate R&D in the region and beyond
- Build partnerships with the wider UK, Europe and the world
- Encourage working relationships and friendships to develop
- Identify and manage key market information for members
- Provide a forum for discussion of Low Carbon Energy issues Stimulate job creation, growth and exploitation of intellectual property
- Reduce carbon emissions in the region
- Improve the quality of life of people in the region A dedicated Low Carbon Energy team of engineers and project managers are based at CPI.
