Chemical Industries Training Organisation

One of the important tasks undertaken by the (UK) Chemistry Leadership Council (CLC) was to form a Skills Network Group (SNG).  The SNG has recently (June 2004) published a report: “Skills for the 21st Century Chemical Industry”, which details specific recommendations to improve the skills base of the chemical industry.

A national “CITO” organisation is in place to oversee the implementation of the recommendations made in the SNG report and the CPI provides the secretariat for quarterly CITO meetings in the NE region.
