Jørgen M. Clausen

Jørgen Clausen is President and CEO of Danfoss A/S. He first joined Danfoss in 1981 as Vice-President of Corporate Technology and Research, Business Development, and Quality Systems. In 1990 he became a member of the Executive Committee and soon after he was appointed President of the Mobile Hydraulics Division. Prior to Danfoss, Mr. Clausen founded his own company, Elsmark Computer Automation A/S in Copenhagen, where he developed a computer aided design system.

Mr. Clausen is actively involved with several institutions in Denmark, notably Chairman of the Board of Risoe National Laboratories, Member of Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, Member of the Board of Scandinavian International Management Institute (SIMI), Member of the Industrial Committee of the Federation of Danish Industries, Vice Chairman of Sauer-Danfoss Inc. (ATV) and Chairman of Junior Achievement / Young Enterprise Europe.

Mr. Clausen studied electrical engineering at the Danish Engineering Academy in Copenhagen. He also studied at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA, where he graduated with an MBA in 1975.
