Conduit Ventures Limited believes that excellent management invest their valuable career time in technologies in which they have a high degree of confidence. These technologies have applications with a clear route to market and profitability. For this reason we concentrate our due diligence on the quality of technology, management and market access in companies that already have proof of concept and have already started prototype testing.
Our procedure for evaluating investments can be summarised as follows:
Screening: investments are screened to see if they fit our investment criteria. Investment opportunities that pass screening are referred to the Investment Committee for further evaluation.
Due Diligence: if the selected opportunity is considered sufficiently attractive a designated team will approach the investee sponsors for discussion and independent review of the opportunity. We pay particular attention to technology, application, management quality, addressable market, competitive position and financial issues. Prior to Conduit Ventures Limited submitting any indicative terms for discussion with investees a detailed evaluation of the opportunity is presented to the Investment Committee for consideration.
Approval: once all due diligence is completed the Investment Committee of Conduit Ventures Limited will decide whether to proceed with an investment or not.
Completion: following completion the relevant Conduit Ventures Limited Board member/observer on the investee Board will monitor the investment, attend investee Board meetings and keep Conduit Ventures Limited appraised of all major issues.
Co-Investment: where our confidentiality and regulatory procedures allow our investors may co-invest with Conduit Ventures Limited in some circumstances separately from their interests in Conduit Ventures Limited.
Our investment procedures protect the intellectual property rights of investee companies and do not allow investor access to confidential investee information without full consent of investee companies.
