BOC Projects - CUTE

BOC is working closely with BP to build the first hydrogen refuelling site in the UK. On the 7th of January 2004 three Daimler Chrysler fuel cell buses will begin to carry the public in the capital. The planned BP hydrogen filling station will include an underground liquid hydrogen store that will enable it to look just like a traditional gasoline filling station.

While the buses are being introduced, a temporary compressed refuelling station will be built on the BOC site in Hackney. This site will run for a number of months and will be dismantled afterwards. The three hydrogen buses will be garaged in close proximity to the refuelling station, which is seen as a real benefit. This station will not be open to the public and visits can only be made through private viewing.
