Rechargers as an early adopting market

One entry market for fuel cells is in a disposable form to compete in the rapidly growing market for phone rechargers. These small devices will revive a flat phone and are so small they can be kept in a briefcase or handbag. The disposable fuel cell may use non-toxic fuels such as ethanol or glycerol, or may use a fuel called sodium borohydride for its exceptional power density and performance.

Encouraging trials

Initial tests at Acta have demonstrated the potential for this technology and further studies are underway to build performance data and product costings.
