Design Drafter

Job Summary:

The Design Drafter will work in a team environment in support of the Engineering Department of Proton OnSite. The position will require working closely with a range of engineering disciplines to detail design and accurately document projects.

Responsibilities:

• Directed to model parts and make accurate detailed drawings in Pro/ENGINEER with minimal input. Designs may be prepared from verbal or written instructions.
• Work with design originators preparing detail drawings of unusual, complex, or original design.
• Communicate effectively with designers and keep items concurrently organized with rest of design efforts through Pro/INTRALINK
• Work across engineering and manufacturing departments to support product engineering, product manufacturing and electrolyzer cell stack development.

Specifics of this job position include:

• Detailing simple and complex parts/components related to electrolyzer cell stack designs
• Creating solid models and detailing drawings of parts for current and future product designs
• Making engineering changes to production released engineering/manufacturing drawings
• Creating drawings for design parts and tooling/fixturing suitable for quotation by vendors
• Creating manufacturing process drawings to document current processes

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience/proficiency in Pro/Engineering, specifically in Pro/E part, assembly, and drawing modes.
• Five or more years of experience as a design drafter
• Associate’s degree or Equivalent
• Working knowledge of MS Office products
• Experience working within team of professionals
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

This is a short term Temporary position: 3 to 6 months.

However, we would consider a permanent Part Time candidate working 24 hours per week.
