The International Conference Hydrogen on Islands

The International Conference Hydrogen on Islands is a direct result of the World Hydrogen Islands Initiative, which has started by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) - International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies (ICHET) with a short term goal to demonstrate viable hydrogen technologies and a long term goal to develop clean energy systems on the world islands as a basis for sustainable development.

Croatia is known throughout the world as a "country of thousand islands" and it's no wonder that one of them has been chosen for the venue of the first International Conference Hydrogen on Islands. The Conference will be held in the world-famous tourist destination, the city of Bol, on the island of Brac in the period from 22 - 25 October 2008 and will gather numerous world scientists and experts from the field of energy, hydrogen technology and hydrogen economy.

We therefore invite You to join us and participate in the Conference for one or more of the following reasons:

  • to learn more about these energy options,
  • to share your views and experience,
  • to show Your support to the promotion of the technology of the future.
  • to visit beautiful Croatian coast and islands.
